Logo Design

New York Times bestselling fantasy author Jodi Meadows was in search of a new logo. She wanted something that communicated what she currently writes  but could grow with her if she branched into new genres. She mentioned wanting to see circles in the logo somehow, to hint common themes in her writing (family, worlds, stars/space) as well as her personal hobby (spinning).

A crisp, welcoming sans-serif font was selected, with emphasis given to the Os. Celestial moon shapes to “burst” from behind each letter, adding a layer of depth while also speaking the magical elements of her stories and giving her room to grow into the sci-fi space and beyond. Alternate versions of the logo were designed so that Jodi could use her first name only, as needed, or her full name, but sans bursts. A style guide was provided to the client.
