New York Times bestselling author Adam Silvera wanted a logo that could serve him in both the speculative fiction and fantasy genres, as well as in any genres he may write in the future. A minimalist yet striking font was chosen, then customized to add energy and motion via “slicing” ascenders and descenders. A simplified logomark was also designed for instances when a horizontal logo was insufficient. The color palette remained monochromatic on the client’s request, and a style guide was provided with final deliverables.
Additional branding work was done for the client’s website. Adam wanted to update the promotional slider on his homepage, so that it could feature multiple books and also showcase some of the praise and accolades he’s amassed during his career. Seven new promotional graphics were designed and delivered to the client, two focusing on the author himself, the rest promoting his novels.
